Incorporated 1966
Meductic is located on the West side of the St. John River, 9.21 km ENE of Benton and 6.5 km SE of the former Maliseet (Indian) village of Medogteg. Based on the number of inhabitants, Meductic is the smallest of all incorporated villages in the Atlantic Canadian province of New Brunswick.
Meductic considers itself to be "the best kept secret in the St. John River Valley". It has a public park that is great for picnics and family gatherings and for young children to play in.
The village has a convenience store, a garage and gas station, located along the NB Route 165.
At the other side of the road is the up-hill entrance to the Community Centre with the Village Office and the Meductic Volunteer Fire Department.
